[Z06] Z06, C5, ???

Z06, C5, ???
A lot of friends have recently been asking me if my Vette is a C5. I always say, yes, but then they say its a z06, not a C5. One person even said that its a C5 with Z06 tuning. Since "C5" is the body design, or styling, then isn't it a C5? Some idiots are even saying, "you should have bought a C5, its faster!" :lol: or other stuff comparing the C5 and the Z06 like they are different cars. So many people have said this, that I am now becoming confused! :mad
I think that C5 is the design of the model years 1997-2004 and a Z06 is just the trim of C5.
Is that right? What should I tell them next time they start comparing a C5 and a Z06?
