Tire repair Area
Somewhere I know I saw a picture that showed the areas on a supercar tire that could be repaired and also showed the areas that could not be repaired. Anyone know where that is located? I picked up a nail that is very close to the inboard edge of the tire, not too far from the sidewall area so wanted to see the picture before I go to Discount Tire so as to know if they can repair it or I should ask for a new tire under my road hazard policy I bought from them awhile back. Thanks!

I found the sites. The first one shows the repair area. the second site is a Goodyear policy sheet on the repair of Z rated tires. So, the nail in my tire is outside the repair area so we'll see this afternoon what Discount Tire says about replacing it.

This is very interesting. When I picked up a nail about 1 1/2 inches from the outside edge of my rear F1 tire and went to my local Chevy dealer they told me the tire could not be repaired and then proceeded to install a new tire at $450.00. Color me stupid!!!!! :banghead:
