Question for those who are lowered.. (Technical)...??
Hey All,
Just wondering about those of you who have lowered your Zs. If you use the "factory" method I have heard that you can drop about .5" in the front and .75" in the back. My question is will this pre-maturely wear the shocks?? In other cars I have owned I have always used springs to drop. This always put the shock travel outside of its normal range and pre-maturely wore the shocks. Ended up buying shocks valved for the drop.
So have you guys seen any adverse effects from lowering with factory hardware (premature shock wear, squeeks, rattles, harsh ride)?
Are there any aftermarket shocks (bilstein?) that are valved for about a 1" drop??

i haven't had any problems yet with my lowered car.the front end went down a heck of alot more than a half inch.it scrapes everywhere.it's a good thing i have frame savers and rocker rails.
