I saw that in Eckler's catalog. I noticed it was only available for 2001-spec LS6's. Not sure if I like it, even if it reflected the current version's numbers.

I don't think its the same as Ecklers. From what I hear http://www.afterthoughtsauto.com is the only people making these.

Yeah, my '70 had a plate like that on the console. I always loved looking down on it and reading: Cu. Inches: 454 Torque: 500 lbs./ft. :D :cool:

My passengers really got a kick out the spec plate on the console of my 69.
350 cubic inches 350 horse power
380 pounds torque 11:1 compression
My current stock console plate simply says:
L88 427 cubic inches
Given a preferrence, I would probably rather have the 405 hp on the console instead of the fender badge. I like a discreet looking car on the outside. One of the reasons I like the yellow paint. :D

Actually this was posted once before quite some time ago. The reaction then was about the same as now. Split down the middle on the general idea but hard to swallow to pay $40 for a piece of plastic. Seems as if you could get metal for that price. But if you go to the the afterthoughts web site you will notice that they will custom make your specs which is kind of nice for those who have dynoed and want to brag

They have 405 HP! Just go to the website. You can also get any numbers you want.
