When I bought the car, a dealer said that they would perform an alignment for free until car 1year/7,500 miles.
My car now is getting to be almost a year old and has about 4,500 miles. I don't think I need an alignment - but seems like a good idea to do it anyway, right?
Do you guys know what kind of procedure GM dealers use for their alignment. I called a couple of local shops and they were all quoting me over $100 to do it on a vette.

I just had my car aligned and let me tell you it is WORTH IT! I went to a local shop. They only charged me 60 bucks! Here my reasons.
1. Just had the car lowered
2. I rotate my tires left to right every thousand miles
3. I like to race ...on a track of course
What you're going to notice after it's aligned is just an overall sense of tightness and the peace of mind that comes with it. I was surprised how off my car was considering that it is only 6 months old with 15 hundred miles on the od. I think an alignment should be done at least once a year. I learned from my tech that your car is always shifting, moving..etc.etc..esp if you're racing & rotating tires.
