Default Getting lean code with new airbridge...

Installed an after market airbridge with my vararam and got P0174 code. I checked all connections, reset the DIC and the code has not returned. Should I assume the car has learned about the additional air? Should I get the car tuned? Am I okay as long as the code does not return?

I would double check all your connections and make sure you don't have a leak. If you are confident there are no leaks and the code doesn't come back, I'd say you are okay!

I like the way it looks. The red airbridge matches the FRC's. If the post asked how much hp am I getting and should I keep it on, your response would be appropriate. That said, SHOULD I WORRY ABOUT THE CODE?

Id say dont worry about it to much unless it becomes reoccuring. Also, Id recommend going to a dyno with a wide band a/f meter, tell them whats going on and get it measured. I think the computer will learn the new numbers, but better safe than broken.

Don't waste your money w/ the dyno if your code doesn't return. I guess you could dyno if you absolutely had to know hp/tq.

I've never heard it called an air bridge and maybe I'm on the wrong part of the engine, but your MAFS might need to be cleaned.

Hope this helps.

It shouldn't have to learn how to meter air, but it does have to adapt to it. According to Vararam, its a good idea to d/c the neg batt cable for 30+ mins to allow the computer to start it's adaptive learning from a clean slate. I did this and I noticed a slightly improved performance.
