problem with filter element
hey,
i just took my 1000miles old vararam VR1B apart to inspect and possibly wash the filter and to my profound disappointment the filter element basically fell apart in my hands...
anybody with the same experience and how was it resolved. I must say, given that I could not appreciate any seat of the pants improvement, the cheap parts and now falling apart filter just did not make my day

I have a 2003 Z06 and am getting closer to buying a Vararam based upon all that I have been reading here on Corvette forum and elsewhere.
Been reading up on the Blackwing, K&N etc.
What material is the filter made out of? Is this supposed to be a reusable filter like the K&N?

Yes, it is reusable, you wash it and oil it like a K&N - I suggest you call Patrick about what and why this happened to your filter, I have not had that problem and have cleaned it twice.

do you have their K&N element or the foam? yeah and i got an email out to Patrick will see whether he has some thoughts on why this happened
