I have a 03 Z06 and was looking into buying some headers. I already have a Magnaflow X pipe as well as some 4 tip stingers. Will the long tube headers go on without too much modification to my existing setup?
Aslo: What is the best long tube header for the money. I have heard the TPIS is about as good as gets for the money but there may be others. Personally I can not see spending over a grand for a set of headers.
i will dare to respond, hopefully the rest of corvetteforum won't hate me LOL
the headers war is always outthere :boxing
I have my FLPs and they are OK!
Peesp sayng that LGs or Stainless headers are the best, but as for me they are all give you approximately the same performance on stock application, so it's up to you how much money you wanna spend!

I just purchased a new 2.66 first gear tranmission from a gentleman who has a set of TPIS headers on his LS1. He commented that the coating on his headers was already cracking in just over a year of use. TPIS uses 419 SS for their tubes, not 304L. 419 SS will RUST.
I would suggest that you look at only 304L, 316L, or 321L stainless steel headers..
First of all, whats up A. C. :) I too have been getting closer to getting headers. I believe the FLP would be the way to go. You might be able to find them just a bit over a grand, and from what I've been told and read, they are not too difficult to install. Hopes this helps out bud. :steering:
Yea I am really thinking about getting headers and a LS1 edit. I found another shop that will do the LS1 edit. This guy seams to really know what he is doing. These darn headers are not cheap. I was trying to find the best bang for the buck. We will see.....
