I'm real close to puchasing my first Z06 (an '04), and as I'm sure you can imagine, I get pretty darned excited just thinking about it. But, the Z06 will be my daily driver, and since my youngest child is still only 11, I have to really focus on child safety before signing on the dotted line. I haven't been able to find any type of Corvette crash data or any specific Corvette child safety information. Don't get me wrong. I'm a very safe driver, especially with one of my kids in the car, and I certainly don't plan on getting into an accident. But, you just never know. So, can anyone out there please direct me to that type of Corvette specific information or just put my mind at ease with your own thoughts and input on this issue? Thanks a lot.
How many accidents have you been in in your life? My 6m.o. loves the Z, and my 2 y.o. has matching sunglasses when he cruises in it! If you're overly concerned about crashing , consider a Volvo. :jester
If you are basing your decision on the safety of your child, which I respect, don't buy a two seat performance/racing car especially a Vette no less a Z. Our cars are not made for small children only adults that love to act as children.
