replacing wheel locks
Anyone ever had to replace their Z06 wheel locks? I took my '02 to the dealer to have them inspect a slow leak in the right rear tire and they couldn't find the wheel lock key. After consulting the manual, which stated that wheel lock key could be found in a depression under carpet in left side of trunk, no key could be found. My question is: how many different keys are there and how does one go about replacing key? i.e can wheel locks be tracked by VIN # NOTE: I am second owner, but first owner never used wheel lock either...maybe factory screw up?

When I first got my z06 back in late 01 it was used and did not have the key either. I went to a dealer and they made all kinds of calls. No luck. So I took a 19mm 12 point socket and beat it on to each lock. I removed them all and replaced them with stock lugnuts.

You mean to say you never looked for your wheel locks long before this? Every car I've ever bought (used or new), I checked and made sure it came with what is was supposed to have.
