I think this will be an incredible car! I'm just hoping the car comes in pricewise in the mid 40's, but I have a feeling when all is said and done it will be low 50's when optioned out. Look for more performance from other caddy models as well. :)
I cant wait! Lets see my 1st mods...Cam, Headers, Borla, Nos, Clutch, Short Throw, Springs, 20in HRE's Damn did your stang get smoked by my Caddy with 4 people in it? With the A/C on? imagine the look on people's faces a Caddy with a crazy cam!! hahaha. Just too sweet :D
I like the CTS-V but if you really want that Z06 Caddy, I'd go with the "C6 - chassis" XLR.....
The XLR will be $76,200 (MSRP) and $85,000 (Neiman Marcus Edition), 320HP Northstar power (no Z06 LS6 engine, limited mod potential). Cool car, but different class and not as fast as the ~$50K CTS-V.

I totally agree... the CTS-V is more like the Z06 today (except the +800lbs and seating for 5 :D).
I just like the idea of the XLR and C6 sharing the chassis and wonder how long before the XLR will be available with the same Corvette motor or at least as an option. Btw there are supercharger options in the works for the 4.6L Northstar which would get the XLR up to around 400hp. Like you said: the 4.6L Northstar does not have all the mod capabilities of the LS6.
If any of you guys want more info on the CTS-V. It would be cool to have a Z in the garage and the bad boy Caddy to cruise around town in with four adults. Let me know.

What's interesting, is that even with +800lbs, it beats the current M3 and M5 around Nürburgring (Nordschleife) at 8m:19s. The handling and brakes(Brembo) must be pretty good.
Interesting thought: CTS-V competing in World Challenge Racing.
I'm quessing if you give Chuck Mallet a call they already have one under development. :chevy
 Very cool! Every year World Challenge Racing gets better and better. Hopefully Speed*Vision/TV will air the races more often (since they are taped). Would be nice to see them live as well.
