As I said in my post a couple days ago, I just picked up my 04 last weekend. Can the Orange County, California guys out there please give me a referal to a reputable garage in the area, preferably near Irvine, where I can take my car just to get regular maintenance like oil changes, tune ups, brakes, etc. No heavy duty mods, just the regular stuff. With all the dealer horror stories I read on this board, I would prefer for them not to even touch the car unless it was some major warranty work. Many thanks! :flag

Re: Orange County, CA Maintenance?? (Gary@ronal)
I agree with your opinion about Chevy Dealers. There is an exception however and we in OC get to benefit! It is Connell Chevrolet on Harbor Dr. They are an outstanding (semi-mod friendly) dealer and the Service Manager is a Corvette enthusiast. I am sure others here that share my opinion will chime in.
I also will vouch for Connell. While not perfect, they do try. For a EXCELLENT independent shop, call Gary Leonhardt at (714) 630-4510. He has run a 20+ year Corvette facility in Anaheim and is top notch.
So who did you end up using? Inquiriing minds want to know.
Fortunately, I haven't used any of them yet. :) My car only has 380 miles on it (still struggling through the break in period), so there's been no need for any maintenance yet!! :D I was just gathering info so I would be prepared for the inevitable. But, they all sound worth of giving a try, and I do so much appreciate the input.
For new car dealer, try POWER CHEVROLET, Steve Smith is Svc Mgr..

Gary Leonhard listed above is great too....for non-factory work....although he'd be great there too..if GM covers that...
also
Carl Pugh, at Corvette Mike is great too...714-630-0700
Hope it helps.
I think I met you at Hooters by the Pond for a Z06 event not too long ago. Are there any good LS1edit tuners in OC?
As far as OC dealers: Connell did a first class job on my rering and the new Chevy dealership in Rancho Santa Margarita off of Bake took care of a ripped seat cover for me. One of the service guys there used to work at Connell. Not crazy about Power in Irvine.
I only used one place, Corvette Mikes in Anehiem. Good people who do nothign but Vette work. They can also do the lowering work, alignment, and dig up the right parts.
