Brake Vacuum Booster?
Guys,
Sorry if I've used the wrong term, but I've had a minor problem with the brake pedal returning completely when released after a relatively gentle, gradual, application of the brakes. Doesn't seem to happen as much when brakes are used more aggressively. The reason I first became aware of this was because my cruise control wouldn't re-engage when I pushed the stalk button after slowing on the freeway; however, if I put my foot under the brake pedal and just pulled up a tiny bit, then cruise would re-engage just fine. The dealer, as usual going for the cheapest way out, changed the brake switch--this did virtually no good. Do you know of any tech bulletins on this? Thanks for any help on this one.

Do you have a 2001 by chance? In a lot of the 2001 vettes, faulty brake boosters were installed, including my 2001 coupe. I believe there is a TSB about it and the dealer should replace the brake booster under warranty. I had mine replace by my dealer a few months after I bought her. Hope this helps.

Yessir. It's a 2001 Z06. Why are dealers such buttheads? I'm sure they knew the likely cause, but tried to get out on the cheap...now they'll have to do it right anyway.
