409 miles and the check engine light comes on and stays on ! Belts good, Oil pressure fine, Alt putting out. No leaks, Coolant fine. Anyone encounter this problem with such low miles ? If so can you please advise what the problem was. Thanks Joey :steering:
Is it stock? I had the same thing happen on mine after I put on the Blackwing. When I checked the codes, I was getting lean bank history codes. After I cleared the code the check engine light went away. This happened a few times, mainly during the Spring, and hasn't happened in a few thousand miles over the Summer.
Thanks Michael, The car is stock. I didn`t clear any codes yet, but had a 10 PCM 1 Code readiing and a 28 TCS 1 code, and several history codes.I don`t know at this time what the reference for these codes are. Do you remember the lean bank history codes ? Thanks Joey
Thanks again. How can i get info as to cross referencing the meaning of the numerical codes ?
Search mode..................thats how I found the meaning of my codes, for my 02 ZO6. Had a lean condition and traced it to a loose clamp on my HallTech Tric..... :yesnod:
I threw a code last week and it turned out to be a fuel evap sensor. I cleared it and it has not returned. Don't know what caused it because I always shut the car off when refueling and always tighten the cap.
you will have many, many codes over the life of your Vette. 99% will be absolutely non meaningful. Notate the code, clear the code and drive. If it becomes persistent over time, then start to worry.
