Ok committee, need some feed back. Yesterday I had a Magnaflow X pipe installed on the Z and have noticed some strange things. First off, the car runs a lot quieter, secondly it seems to have a lot more low end and mid range torque. I don't know if it's just me or what. Next week I plan on making a run to M.T.I. and have them put a tweek on it. Unfortunatly I dont have any hard data to compare, so I was hoping for a little feed back from the forum. Thanks... :chevy
Jack;
I was talking to Extreme Motorsports about installing headers and X pipe on my car. With the X-pipe according to Extreme Motorsports it will make your car sound quieter. Give them a call they are very helpfull.

Thanks Yav. I don't have headers but I was really suprised at the change in noise level the Magnaflow made. One biggie was the lack of popping when you let off when it's cold. I don't know which X pipe your going with, but I hit two snags with mine. First, the C clamps aren't the best of steel. Twisted both off and had to go with better stuff. Second, the bolts they include in the kit that secures the X pipe to the tail pipe assy. were to large in diamater for the tail pipe flanges. That also required a sub.Other than that they work good and sound great.. :chevy
