Default Hurricane Intake

Hi, new to the group and am wondering if anyone has purchased the Hurricane Intake system? Found it on the West Coast Corvette web page and according to the advertisement it can add up to 35 HP,. It also states that they are designed to nearly eliminate the possibility of injesting water yet allowing super airflow. I have also heard that some intakes cause the check engine light to illuminate and cause other problems. Just wanted to check it out before purchasing one.

Thanks,

Zrock

I don't think any intake will give you 35hp.

The vararam or the new halltech seem to be the best out there right now.

15-20 rwhp from an intake would be very good!

If my memory serves me correctly, The ad I saw said "Up to 35 h.p." I think it said in small print " 7.1 liter engine". If Its the same ad I saw. :steering:

Thanks for the reply but I did say in my original post that it was "Up to 35 HP" and I went back to the web page and there is no small print that says anything about a 7.1 litre engine. Like you, I can not see it adding 35 HP. 20 would be on the high side. Mainly I was trying to find someone that had one. I do not put much trust in what advertisements say but I do put a lot of trust in those that are on this forum. Thanks again.
