After my disaterous last year and having to part out my new 2002 coupe because of a business BK I am back. I picked up a Machine silver Z06 last night. It is definatley a different car versus my stock 02 coupe. Its going in the shop next week for 19/20 Z06 motorsports, LGM coil overs, T1 sway bars, HID lights and some kind of LOUD exhaust. Had SLP loudmouths on my 02 and LOVED them, but the tips were always crooked, thinking of Borla XR-1 or Bullets. I have a question though. I will sell the wheels and tires, springs, shocks and sway bars, along with the exhaust. Do you guys have any Idea what a fair price to offer these for? I have been driving a 96LT4 since I lost my 02 and the difference is rediculous. I thank god he put me back in the drivers seat. Any ideas would be appreciated. It's great being in the family. :yesnod: :chevy :flag  :grouphug:
Welcome and congrats on getting back into a Vette. I would suggest you go through the "parts for sale section" and check out how much forum members are asking or sold the same parts as you have for. I know Z06 wheels' value has plummetted in the last 1- 1/2 year. I sold a set of stock Z06 rims last year that had around 7000 kms on them for $1300 US. Now you are lucky to get maybe $800. :(
Here are some links I found in the parts for sale section. This can give you a bit of an idea what certain parts are selling for, or at least the asking price of the ones that have not sold yet.
No problem, of course being 04 parts with hardly any miles will bring more money, but it can give you an idea where to start. Thanks for the compliments on my car.

I thought I was all set in my search for an 01 or 02 mn6 pewter coupe. I have been seeing prices lately where a z06 and coupe are just about the same. Now i'm confused. The FRC body style has grown on me to the point that I prefer it to the coupe except for the top down capability. I've had a hatchback zx for 25 years and I thought I might miss the ability to carry lots of stuff on a trip so the coupe was the obvious choice, an easy switch. Of course it would be cool to have a trunk again. Have not had one since my 66 GTO.
I don't mean to hijack your thread. Please IM me with your thoughts or post here if you don't mind the hijack.
many thanks

Forgot to say congratulations on the new z06. Life has a way of turning around, yes?
Thanks guys for the warm welcome. This car is FRIGGEN UNBELIVEABLE compared to the stock coupe. Verysoon, I was in the same boat as you. I only went to the dealership to have them book my car out. I was going to have them get me another coupe. When I saw the Z06 sitting there i thought in my mind (WHY NOT GET THE VETTE THAT PEOPLE KNOW IS THE BADDEST ON THE ROAD). Just saying Z06 has a different feel than saying coupe. This thing feels like a race car in stock form, and this is coming from a guy who lives in Southern CA where the weather is always great. After having the car a couple of days I KNOW I made the right decision. Below is a list of stuff I ordered today, ya- spent some money.
LGM COIL OVERS, T1 SWAY BARS, 19/20" Z06 MOTORSPORTS 265/19 AND 305/25 (CAR WILL BE SLAMMED LIKE THE RED ONE IN MY SIG) real HID set up, B&M shifter, Silver guage bezels, Borla straight pipe (not xr1), Baer bump steer kit, LAPD flush tail light kit, clear rear markers, A&A wheels and skid bar, stainless steel door sill cover and license plate Z0 SIKK. When I recover from this round of mods, motor will be next. It's going to be two weeks before it comes in, looks like no sleep until then. :yesnod:
JESUS!!!!!! That is quite a list.
Thanks for the response. I just could not resist asking you about the switch from a coupe to a Z06. Sounds like you have Zero regrets. I tend to keep things for a long time and I'm trying to do it right the first time. There would be a certain symmetry in trading the zx for a Z.
