That was not my experience running a 91 ZR-1 in Bowling Green - on a drag strip from a dig, I won. The ZR1- was stock, ans so was I (100% at the time).
This is the biggest BS story I've ever heard in my life. It simply didn't happen. Not that a ZR1 could never beat a Z06 but I've been in Aviation for 25 years and I find it difficult if not impossible to believe that any airport, especially an active international airport would rent out one of it's runways and assume the liablility for such an event. PURE BS. Hell, they would have had to sut down the taxiways just to get a car out there....and trust me, you would need "Bill Gates" level income to get a busy terminal like that to stop ground traffic for even 30 minutes.I posted this over there as well. This is a complete fabrication.

If the ZR-1 was modified and the Z06 was stock, then who cares? Good kill and all I guess, but so what. What matters is stock vs. stock, and similarly modded cars (at least for ME to go "wow, that's cool"). Otherwise, it's just what SHOULD have happened.
I call :bs :bs :bs on that. Heck, I ran BigVmaxx (he has a '93 ZR-1) in my 2000 Coupe, on a roll from 25mph. We were neck-and-neck until we shut it down at 120mph. Both cars had intake and rear section exhaust.
