Hey guys what is the invoice on an 04 Z06. I guess I could find that on Edmunds.com?
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
buy the 03
It's the same car, minus the shock upgrade and I'm assuming "out the door" includes taxes. Even if you can find an 04 at invoice, you're going to have to pay taxes on it.
Not sure about the financing aspect. I got mine at 0% but I think those days are long gone. Rates are still very low. You shouldn't have any problems.
good luck! :)

six cars?....uh-oh
this is starting to smell like compulsion.
Lets do the math
43.9k at 5.7% means that e-v-e-r-y-d-a-y from the point that you borrow, the interest rate at which you borrow is going to compound so even if you pay the car off in 12 months you will have paid
46.40
...in 2 years
49.04
....in 3 years
51.84
....in 4 years
54.79
....in 5 years
57.92.... So, if you take this loan to full term, you will have paid a wopping 58 grand for a car that will only be worth 25-28k by the time it's paid off...and don't count on any tax breaks or sheltors.
The debt interest rate on my house is 4.5%, my car is 0%, my credit card is 0%, I'm getting a 45% return off of my money this year and my fico score is only slightly better than yours...This is how you leverage your capital, this is how banks leverage capital...something's up.
You obviously pay your bills on time or you wouldn't have such an outstanding credit score but, If you cannot get a better interest rate, walk away or at least sell some of your other cars first because in my opinion, this is not a good financial decision.
I love Corvettes, they're great automobiles but, make no mistake ...these cars are expensive. Are you sure you can afford it ? I waited a long time to buy mine because a car like this needs 93-94 octane gasoline, the motor runs most efficiently on a track, not the street, it also needs to be kept out of sight, like in a closed garage...etc..etc...my point being that it's not cheap. Sport cars also need a lot of maintainence..I change my oil 2-3 times a year. Tires don't last long...when you lower/race your car, it has to be aligned every 3-6- months...etc..etc..
You want to finance a car like this when YOU are getting 5.7% off of your money and can leverage GM at a low interest rate, not the other way around.
I am just trying to help and do not mean to insult you in anyway. I sincerely want everything to work out for you.
please stay in touch..
David

Anyway I got the rate down to 3.9% for 36 months and also decided to pay half cash up front. The dealership came off another $3K
Life is good
Here is my experience. I too bought my Z06 totally financed and the monthly note was not a bear but I had to alter my lifestyle some. So maybe you should look at selling some cars. Now I have sold my Z06 because I'm leaving the Army and want to save up some money for my transition to a civilian career. But if I had purchased a used vette that was for sale at the time I bought my Z06 I'd still be in vette right now. Go look at some used 02 coupes, I bet you could find some for less than 30K! If you have the ability to spend over 800 a month on a Z06 note then you have the income to modify the coupe. Except under the most extreme racing conditions a coupe can be equal to a Z06, add the Z06 suspension, 3.90 rear gears, a Cartek stage 1 engine package and you'll be happy with a smaller note, I promise.
6 cars are only a good start....
I have an 02 EB ZO6 and the payments do hurt - but not as much as the insurance on 8 cars.....
I wish I had gotten such a good deal - but I was happy with my deal at the time (Sep 01) and I still love the car.
I was able to get USAA to lower my interest rate (a lot) after being in the car 12 months - called the "loan retention program" or some such.
