hey im getting the flp headers installed and they want to know if i want the cats or the off road set up. what do you guys recommend? they say if they r not on it takes twenty mins to swap them out for inspection. is it worth the effort and whats the power dif?

Well, what do you hope to gain from not having them? Most dyno sheets don't show more than a minor improvement. There are a lot good choices today of hiflow cats and the factory ones are pretty decent. The cats help scrub a lot of bad stuff out of the exhaust.
Since you live in Sugarland, right outside of Houston (where I used to live), consider the condition of the air where you live. Think it over and ask yourself if it is worth it.
If you don;t run cats you will need to run O2 sims or LS1Edit to turn the rear O2's off. (BTW to asnwer the other post the FLP's come with hgh-flow cats)
I dyno'd my car with and without the cats, picked up 8 RWHP (same dyno, same day - all that stuff). The car will be louder without the cats, a little more smell, and will get the rear of your car dirty faster. In my case I left the cats off, some leave them on - that is one of the things I like about the FLP's - you have the option.
