Anyone know if it is possible to display anything besides "Competitive Driving Mode" on the DIC when you've got the car in that mode? I would like to be able to see my oil temp while in this mode, but I don't know if that is possible.
Re: DIC Display in Competition Mode (Dug02Z0679L82)
It reset and it clears the display, then call up anything you want:) Reset work for a lot of things, for example if you are doing the diagnostic test with door open. Hit reset to clear door ajar..... etc. George
Yeah, I worried about what 'reset' meant, too, until I made a quick test. :steering: Only the TC/AH button (or shutting the car off) will change things to other driving modes.
Then it occurred to me how stupid it would be for the General to make the DIC so that you couldn't see any DIC info when in the Comp mode. There's no way they could be that stupid....right? :D  :D

I'm sure it's a liability thing ... they want to make sure the driver sees the message and knows what mode he/she is in. Same with the system always starting with AH/TC enabled .. GM doesn't want to get sued by someone claiming they didn't know the 'safety' features were disabled.
