From what I've read in the publications, the '04 Z differs from the '03 in a couple of ways. First, there were chassis tuning upgrades with attention being paid to refinement of the Sach's shock valving. And as gmblack3 mentions, there are stiffer upper control-arm bushings and slightly softer rear anti-roll bar bushings. Secondly, the hood is now light weight carbon fiber weighing 20.5 pounds, 10.6 pounds lighter than the '03.
