I think the answer theblackvette gave to a question about supporting venders is not typical of the vendors on the forum. This is what he had to say.

Most dealers are slime! They smoke cigarettes, no nothing about the cars, and don't care about you and just want the sale! On the other hand, there are some great dealers out there, but it takes luck to find a nice one. Good luck!

Definitely not typical of the vendors here. I have dealt with almost all of them (sorry, not you yet Gene,, but hopefully sometime in the future) and have had exemplary service from all.

edit for clarification: I have dealt with almost all of the vendors, but not any of the dealers here. You have to be careful with some dealers, but that is not the case here.

I think maybe most remarks were in direct response to hands on service through dealerships in the areas Forum members have taken their vehicles for service. I would hope such service and reputation established by privately owned dealerships would have change by now. I will say I believe IMOHO that most Forum members have been treated extremely well by supporting venders on this Forum. There is a good dealership in Oxnard by the name of Todey Chevrolet.

Gene, don't worry about it. I, for one, don't put a lot of stock in something written by someone who thinks "no" = "know"

We were one of the founding supporting dealers.

We have established a reputation of offering great deals on new Chevrolet cars and trucks, great deals on parts and rock bottom prices on the GM Protection Plan all with quality service every step of the way.

dealers not vette specific vendors....

vendors here tend to be stand up guys because word of mouth is everything...dealers tend to be slime because it's all a numbers game and they want to make the comission...

also, i've never been to a chevy dealership yet where they new what the hell they were talking about on corvettes....they over charge and tend to do crappy work...

my 2 cents
