Shock bolt torque specs
I just a set of '04 and I don't know the torque specs for the shock bolts. I know a bunch of you have done this, does anyone have them or did you just wing it?

I know the rear lower (large) bolts are 162 ft-lbs, My torque wrench goes to 150 so thats what mine got. I will try and get the rest of the specs for you later today.
At one time someone claimed that the lower rear bolt torque of 162 ft-lbs was a misprint. A few of the techs said that 162 ft-lbs is correct over on corvettemechanic.com

Thanks. Patches put the excerpt from the manual over in the tech section so I have them now. 162 wow!. I also only have a torque wrench that goes to 150.

The torque for the front shocks are top nut = 19 ftlb (20), the bottom two = 21 ftlb. You will no doubt need to pull the top "A" arm from the frame and those bolts go for 48 ftlb. I couldn't find a way to pull the shocks without pulling the top A member? As fot the rear 162 ftlb for the bottom BIG bolt, and 22 ftlb for the top bolts. Hope this will help? :auto: :flag
