i went with the vortex, and have had mine in the rain. no problems while the potential is there. however, remember C4's were bottom breathers as well, old rule of thumb don't drive through standing water.
as for blackwing being 3" off the ground. they just sit on the shroud, i think you have it confused with the old haltech design. i have been happy with mine, and if i had to do it all over again money no object Haltech trap would be my choice it looks bad butt with the screen in place of the license plate.
You have posted several times. You do not own a Vette. What is the intention here?
I call a spade a spade, so sorry if being rough around the edges!
Thats not vary nice, im over here in Iraq fighting for our freedom and i get put down for asking question about the car i love. and im in the process of gettning a Z. do most members here not like young people?, cuase im not getting vary friedly well come so far.
:iagree: with dubya. I have seen some of your other posts and wonder what your intentions are also. You may want to proof read your questions before posting. I don't think there is any prejudice in this forum against young people. I think it might be another issue or two. Good luck with your search for a Z06. :skep:
I already said, i got a deal going and i should own one buy the end of next week, wating on bank still. y does it matter if i own one or not? i have to own Vette to post then y did admen let me on the site? all im trying to do is research alittle before i get my Z, so im really sorry im wasting your time.
you know i could have gotten into drugs and be on street or on well fair (that you pay for in taxes) or were im at now (that you pay for in taxes) and ready to buy a Z at 19 years old, so were would you rather see your tax dollars go?
if i was your son were would you rather see him be? I though that everyone being adults here would respect me for this. For my age doing it all my-self. my parents are not giving me any money or anything. so what do you want from me? Thats y im asking you for help, so when i buy something I know i got the proven best.
Were still getting mortered here were im at, and getting online and doing this helps me relax, so if my grammer english, spelling what-ever is a little bad, im sorry and it really don't bother me, but since it bothers alot here i will try and read them over.

"intentions" to buy a Z and drive it, and make it faster, what do you want me to say? im not cutting anyone down, or any thing olike that, you tell me what you want to hear
I don't believe much of what I read on the Internet.
I do believe you are 19 years old and have some interest in the Z06, and Viper based on your signature - not a bad start for so young a person.
Your email address confirms you are USAF, you may or may not be in Iraq, but I commend you on serving your country. If you are in Iraq take care and come home soon.
Your typing and communications skills are pretty bad, so take the time to check your posts for spelling and grammar. Perfection isn't needed, an attempt at making your posts easier to read is required in this forum to "get along".
You may or may not ever own a Z06 but you don't have to own one to be a member here. That said since you claim you want to learn about these cars I suggest you quit typing (not a strength with you anyway) and start reading. Read back a few weeks on posts, do a search on topics that interest you (mods, intakes etc.) and when the time is closer to your purchase date ask specific questions with some knowledge behind you.

Viper, this is good advice. Good luck with the Z!

The only correct answer to this question is: it depends.
How much money do you wnat to spend?
How much fitlering of air do you want?
How much time do you want to spend installing?
Are you worried about hydro locking?
etc. etc. etc.
