Halltech Titanium Headers and Cat Back Mufflers will soon be available. We do not have pricing yet, but they will be very competitive even with the stainless systems.
We have not tested the headers yet, so no numbers are available. The titanium headers require no welding, but must be installed with our new H-pipe system. Here are some pictures.
If you are interested, we will be introducing this entire system as a package to this forum exclusively under a group purchase program, prior to releasing them to the general public.
Damn! Just when I had *finally* made up my mind about a header setup, JH posts this! I know the final details aren't worked out but maybe you (Jim) could answer a couple of things (I'm sure other people will ask this ask well):
First, weight different vs. a stainless steel setup? I would assume the Ti would be lighter. Any better heat characteristics? I know the TI brake calipers are supposed to be better than SS for instance (less heat transfer). Is the X-pipe Ti as well?
Finally, it looks like a "mini cat" type setup in the pics, almost like 2001 pup cats. Is the plan to use a specific brand cats like RT Metal Matrix?
Thanks as always for the new and interesting Vette products!
Little confused with the cats.xpipe setup.
It almost looks like there's an area where you can remove a section there to switch from low flow cats, to straight pipe.
Then what's that just before? A Pre-cat?
Very impressive. I too wonder if they will be CARB Cert. Any reason for the new rear TI exhaust? Is there any gains with yours? Or have you found that perfect sound between factory and fricken loud.
Jim,
Congrats on the new product. Interesting configuration in the headers. Any specific benefit in how the collectors come together?
Second, as previously asked, what is the difference between your mufflers and the stock Ti mufflers? Are the blue tips standard or a function of excessive heat? I think they would complement my EB Z06.
Finally, as the others have asked, being a California resident, is there a possible CARB certificate in the works?
