Hypothetical Z06 purchase...
2002 black Z06, stock, 13k miles, on a dealer lot.
Asking price $36700.
Assuming the car has nothing wrong with it and is in excellent condition, is that a good deal? I'm guessing it could be negotiated down, but that seems like a pretty good price to me.

Just bought a MY 03 Z06 with 240 miles on it for 38,100.... There is more room, I bought mine on ebay, it was the 2nd corvette I purchased there with no problems at all. If you want to feel better about it, there are alot of dealers who sell thier cars on ebay if you do not want to purchase one through a priviate party..

Sounds reasonable. The dealers usually build in negotiation into prices. You can probably get them down if you're persistent. I was initially shopping used & they all went down like $1000-1500 fairly quickly. I got my new 03 ZO6 @ dealer invoice. They even gave me the invoice to prove the price. Good luck.

I don't know Thud, I just passed up a 2003 with 1600 miles beautiful red Z06 that had some Lingefelter stuff on it for 40K even.
I think I'd rather pay an extra 3K and get a year newer with a whole lot less miles...

Sounds great. But make sure you factor in your mod budget. You know it'll happen. :lol:
Also may seem trivial but be sure its the color you want black is a PITA to keep clean but, man does it look good those 5 sec. its clean :lol: :lol:

Haven't been able to run a carfax yet, but it has a pretty clean warranty service history. Just some minor items like the power window regulator.
