Default Re: Mr Clean - Car wash system (jerome)

I purchased the system by mail prior to it hitting the stores. Arrived in 2 days (I paid extra for that) and fired it up.

The starter kits come with a filter that is good for 3 washes. The replacement filters you buy in the store are good for 10 washes or when the filter turns brown (you can see it through a window in the side of the unit) which ever comes first.

The soap is wax safe and designed for car washing. I was pleased by how little soap was used in the process.

My opinion: It works as advertised. You don't need a bucket, just a wash mit. There are 3 settings on the unit. Regular water to pre-rinse the car. Soap which you spray on your car and your mit and "wash the car" section by section as always. Then you go back to the first setting (non-filtered water) and rinse the soap off. Once the entire car is complete, you use the filtered water setting. There is an on/off water flow switch so you don't waste water.

Bottom line: This saves you from filling a bucket and sticking you mit back in increasingly dirty water. Cleans well. The spray of the filtered water is a little less "robust" then I would like so it seemed like it took me quite some time to "rinse" the car with filtered water. Dryed great. I will continue to use it. :D
