Within the year i'll be in the market for a Z06 and was wondering if people kept the documents they recieved with their car. be it the window sticker, build sheet, or anything else that comes with the car from the factory? I pretty sure most do but just want to be asured that it would be a common thing to ask for when looking at a car.
Also does the Z06 come with a factory DVD or tape? i've seen video that goes in detail about all the aspects of the car and it looks GM made.
Keep it all. The 03 was last one to come with VHS tape, manual and CD but 04 comes with the standard manual and CD. I keep window sticker and dealer brochure and I got the build sheet from National Corvette Museum. Helps, I guess, in the eventual sale of the car but I just like to keep that stuff on general principles. LOL.
I've always kept all of the documentation and trinkets that come with a car. I also keep all of my service records as well. Makes it easier to re-sell. Another hint - if you're buying a used vehicle and you're friendly with a local Chevrolet dealership's service department, give them the VIN and they can run a printout of all of the services performed by a dealership. Helps in spotting warranty issues and if recall campaigns are done.
I kept eveything that came with my 03 Z . I got the sticker and any tags that were on her. Dealer even gave me the Corvette brochure since mine was built in the 50th anniversary year. I got the video tape to plus a CD. They were pretty good to me.

Re: do you keep your Z06 documents? (superbowtie)
I kept everything, including the little airbox warning card was that tied to the passenger side grab rail. I immediately made a copy of the video and I stored the original in a safe place with the window sticker and the owners manual packet. The packet includes a small Z06 post-it pad, a Z06 pen, and a Z06 tire gauge.
I also keep everything including invoices for any mods, date of install, place who did the install....Its a good idea to keep complete records, one for re- sale to another buyer and if you should ever desire to take your car and auction it, some auctioneers are meticulus about paperwork, Barrett-Jackson for one.......If you purchace a used Vette, you can contact the Corvette Museum for original paperwork, ie sticker, interior warning stickers etc.......some sites like the Museum, offer various paper packages, for a price of course if you furnish your VIN number
For 01 and 02, they come with a window sticker, an airbag warning tag attached to the passenger grab handle, stickers on the sun visors, a leather Z06 owners manual cover with Z06 air pressure gage, notepad and pen, and a VHS video cassette.
The 03's forward include all the above except the VHS is a DVD-ROM.
The dealer has "premium brochures" which are sometimes available, but you will likely have to ask for one (or you can get on the Chevrolet web site and request one for free).
You can order a window sticker and build sheet from the NCM (www.corvettemuseum.com) if you so desire. I have a build sheet - not sure what I will ever do with it...
