Does anyone know where I can have some badges made with custom horsepower reading. After my cam and headers are intalled and the car is dyno'd I would like to put an updated hp reading on the side.. Being an 01 my badges don't have a # on them but when my mods are complete I would like to display the upgrades
When you find out what one set, a decent one anyway, costs, you may think differently about changing them on a regular basis. Getting one nice set out of stainless or something like that would be expensive. I think that's why you don't see these around other than the expensive ones offered by one of the forum vendors.
I'd think it would be really expensive to get something like that made. However, lots of other cars have model designations which contain numbers ... maybe you could locate trim pieces with the desired numbers at a BMW/Audi/Mercedes etc dealer. I've heard of at least one guy that used Mercedes trim pieces to create an 'LS6' piece for his car. Just a thought.
Maybe you can get custom badges with a blank spot for the horsepower reading, and then you can write the HP in with a dry-erase marker so it's always up to date. :D
It would probably be cooler to just operate in stealth mode and pick off the unsuspecting victims.
:iagree:
Exactly my thoughts.
Those numbers are so hard to read anyways that you still are in stealth mode. The only people that see them are people who see your car in a car show or parking lot or parked on the street etc as (if) they stop to check out your car.
I have a set of Z06 540 H.P. badges I'ld consider selling. New, never used.
Billet aluminium. $280
I have no doubt you would consider selling yours for that price. :D
Ruby6spd,
I bought brand new custom Z06 billet aluminum badges that say supercharged for 150 in the parts for sale section. I know there is somebody on this forum that can hook you up, just can't remember who.
Nate at Corvette Garage makes them. I talked to him,... great guy. Totally custom but nicer than stock. Follow this thread on the Z06vette forum for more info. http://www.z06vette.com/forums/showt...ghlight=badges

I just bought a set from king_pin just like that, they are real sweet looking and great quality. Just going to wait for the temp. to go up a little and put them on.

hey just use 01 side badges and ya don't have to worry about giving away HP numbers-my 01 isn't 385 hp anymore-and that makes it fun with the unsuspecting :jester
