i just replaced my stock goodyear supercar tires today and when we took the fronts off i noticed that the insides of the tires where worn down on both front tires but the rest of the tire wear was fine and i have not done anything to the suspension is this normal?
First of all it is normal! The problem is it is aligned with far more negative camber from the factory (you have noted the real world consequences) . So if you are willing to sacrifice a tad of front wheel lateral grip for longer tire tread life, then get it aligned with that in mind! I did it and basically got 56k miles from my oem F1 tires with 25% tread life remaining!
I had exactly the same issue. I noticed the tire wear at about 15K, had a front end alignment, and have not seen any excessive wear since (currently at 26K).
thanks alot guy well i just wanted to check before i went and spend money on an alignment and did not even need one but i will be getting it done tomorrow.....thanks
