Default Need help regarding Headers....

I want to do headers, high flow cats, etc... and keep stock titanium muffler...
Choices are kooks, LGM, and the new titanium units coming out from halltech..
I heard Kooks give the most power, but im interested in the halltech titanium units for weight savings which is quite a bit and the sound it will produce..
Can anyone give me some feedback on whats available, power gains, and sound change over stock?
Many thanks :steering:

Hello-

You can expect 20-30 in rwhp gain if you go with the LG set up...I'm not up to par on the other two brands. Whatever brand you choose, make sure to have your pcm retuned, because you're increasing the airflow around your motor. Your fuel mixture will be off...

You can also expect a very different sounding car. Headers make your car sound cool, but they are LOUD, even with high flowing cats. It isn't very noticeable if you keep the rpm's under 3k, but after that, forget it.

I once got pulled over from a state tropper because he said they ( a helicopter) could hear my car from the air! and I had high flow cats!

Don't let this stop you from getting a set, I think headers are a must if you're into racing, just don't expect your car to sound the same, because it won't.

Good luck!

I think they make the car sound more like a Formula 1. :yesnod:

I got 30 rwhp and rwtq from my Kooks w/ cats :yesnod: All my buddies said just what Lager said, the car sounded like an F1 car when flying through the 64 tunnel at WOT in third
