I wouldnt waste your money on the hypertech unless you get it dirt cheap. LS1 edit is the way to go, but if you don't have access to a local tuner, go with the predator. It's a much better unit & yes, you can read codes with it. Allows for many more tuning capabilities & they can do a custom tune for you. Scott
You can read about them in the C5 scan and tune section, lots of talk about LS1edit and handheld tuners there. I have the Predator myself, suggest you buy one from James if you get one.
It is a special program that you can have a tuner install for you. It is much more complex than the hand held programming devices. From what I know, that is definitely the way to go.
i have a predator and with the tech support of diablosport or RWTD you cant beat it.....the advantages of a custom tune via email are numerous....i use it in my vette and i have one for my silverado.....make sure you buy it from one of the 2 companys listed so you get all the custom help if you need it :thumbs: :thumbs: :thumbs: :thumbs:
