i've got my 2d '03 vette (2d vette ever actually). the first was an auto coupe, fun but definately became so so very quickly. now i have a z06 and im in heaven! but now im lusting after even more speed/power/acceleration/etc. im interested in a few different mods, but kind of feel like even after lots of internet searching, im still pretty ignorant as to what would be the best mods to make for what i want to do. i really am more into 1/4 mile style racing than autocross and road course racing. so more than suspension mods i want speed mods. im planning on a set of bfg drag radials. i also want to install a supercharger, but dont know which one. i see that a lot of people have installed the magnacharger unit, but i dont know why because the vortech unit boasts more horsepower. i also dont know if i really need to do cam and head work to achieve much hp/trch increase. i plan on installing a set of long tube headers and having a custom 3" exhaust built to bolt to them. i am also interested in changing the rear gears to someting like a 3:73 ratio. has anyone else done this to their z06? what did it entail? where did you purchase the gears from? how did it perform?
if i did not already put all of you readers to sleep, any pointers or advise would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance for all of your help. :confused:

 

You're pretty new here, and have way too many questions to get a single comprehensive answer. There have been a lot of posts regarding power mods of all sorts ... Read the posts in C5 Scan and Tune, C5 Forced induction, and C5 Tech/Performance sections. Do some searches on different things like 'supercharger', or 'rear gears', etc. The info you're looking for is all here, but may take some searching to get to. Welcome to the forum.
