I think you will be very please GoodbyeGirl with this Z16.. dont get me wrong i loved my Torch Red 02 Z.. but i looked at it like this.

I can always go buy another Torch Red Z06... but i cant always go buy this Z16.

I really dont buy cars for resale, i buy them because i LOVE them.

Funny thing but after i bought my 02 Z06 they were sending out those Corvette Quarterly magazines each month.. about the third month after i bought the 02 Z they had pics of this Z16, I said to myself.. NOW thats the car i should buy. But all the time thinking they would sell for sticker price or over. I never thought i would be able to deal on this car, and I think everything happens for a reason.

Im very pleased so far and i know i dont have many miles on mine yet, i will tho and i wont make this a garage queen. I purchased my car 5 days after it was delieverd to the dealership here. It sat the entire 5 days in the showroom, NO one i could see walking in knew anything about this car, they just looked and said whats this?????? I think it happend for a reason, because i was just in the area of the dearlership that day and had no idea they had this car. I just stopped to look and there it was. Im a car nut and a Corvette nut. This so far is the BEST Corvette I've ever owned. and this is number 5..

Good Luck on your purchase.. i was told they might get one more Z16 in where i got mine.. if i can help with my salesman's name.. email me and maybe he can work you a deal. They are wanting to sell every Corvette to have plenty of stock on the 2005 models.

take care. Tony

You can't be old and tired. You drive a Z. Or at least it makes me feel better when I take off in it. :jester

NOPE Jay i have never checked that part of the forum out.. didn't know it was even there. I have been to this forum, the for sale forum and the parts for sale forum and last night was the first time i checked out the vendors section after that kind person told me about my life saving "cup holder" LOL

Im a Buick guy at heart and have owned a few 86 and 87 Buick Grand Nationals and i have hung on the TurboBuick.com site mostly.

I dont check in here that often and i have been on a daily driver search for about two months. Im currently interested in buying a MINT condition 96 Impala SS.. its going to be my daily driver. Im currently ahead on bidding on ebay for my next car.

Im just a car nut and i will go find my Blonde to hold all my drinks and push my radio buttons..

Hey Slong.. whats up? i only feel tired when im sitting here in my recliner with the laptop late at night.. Your right on >> in the Z.. when shifting gears i feel like im 20 again and riding in the future!

We are very lucky to have such nice cars, i remember my first car and that was a
1963 Impala SS.. what a ship that was to drive. and on top of that i put one of those smallest steering wheels you could get and that made it extra hard to turn corners.. :jester ... so how far i have come from the very first car to now. Loved all of them tho.. the cars toooooooooo!

The GS were All LT4's but prodcuction was about 1400 to 1500 cars total in including verts.

The GS production number is exactly 1000. The number of GS is indicated in the last 4 digits of the VIN # :)
Goodbyegirl you are very correct, I was going from my fading memory. What I am sure of thou is I was sorry I got the 96LT4ce and not the GS when I was looking. That GS of yours will be the most collectable of C4s IMHO. Even with the ZR1 , I think and please correct me there were about 5000 ZR1's, I saw a very nice 92 for sale at the Costco parking lot for 23k, I know mnay GS's go for more.
If you like the GS I think you will like the Z16. I personally have been drawn to the last year of each generation, and the low production versions like the GS. As I said I was sorry I didn't get the GS and I guess I just making up for it with the Z16, love those stripes :D :D

Tony thanks for the info on the plaque, I have started collecting some Z16 literature and 24 hr Lemans stuff, sure would like to display that in my mini mueseum. My wife has restricted my interior designing to the garage and basement

Hey Zeeman thanks for the further clarification. I have only seen the GS up close and personal once, and it is one sweet car. I hope you keep some pictures :D
THanks

Tony,

Nice taste in cars. I really like the looks of the Z16 Z06. Dave Hill was driving one last year at the cruise in and it looked great.

Thankyou sir for the comments.. i actually was going with the yellow like yours in 02 but i waited too long and the 03 were out and i was getting such a great deal on the torch red Z in 2002.. SO with that said, the red is gone and the Lemans Blue is in.

Now i may want to take Jersey Jays advice on some small mods and of course keep all the orginal parts in storage.

Thanks again.. you guys are very nice and YOU have very beautiful cars..

amazing we get to drive such wonderful cars..

Tony

Got Z16? Yes I do.

I didn't think I was going to drive it as much as I have. It took years of waiting just to save the money. Then it took an aditional 8 months after plcing an order. The one I ordered was taking too long and the dealer lied to me several times about when the order was supposed to come in. So I looked for one on the internet. It arrived in Dallas 2 days prior to me calling them. The next day I called in sick and drove out there to pick it up. I'm going to try my hardest to keep it clean but man I love driving it.

Both car are looking good!!!! Can you tell the diffrence between your and your buddies car that has been lowered? I got some classified mods that I'll reveil during th car show on Saturday at bowlin Green. I already installed a Blackwing. The blue filter element is an eye grabber and looks real good. Look forward to talking to fellow Z16 owners. Keep turning heads and I'll see in April

I am glad that I don't really like the looks of them, I don't have to worry if I paid to much or if they are going to hold there value, I can just concentrate on watching the price of my black S/C'd beast fall faster than some of my stocks.
