To make a long story short, I changed pads about 6 months ago and now I have terrible squeaky brakes. Does anyone know of some place in the Plano TX area to get the rotors turned for a reasonable price? I am thinking almost any auto parts store can do it......
Thanks,

Hey A.C. Last week I got the eradispeed rotor set from 21MC and I left my stock rotors up there, they should be holding them for me. Get with John and if he still has them there all yours. Hope that helps you out.
It's OK to take .002 or more off the rotor. One thing I would not do is pad slap it. Mic. the rotor for min. spec's which will be stamped on the rotor or in the parts book. As long as you don't turn below that you are legal and most importantly safe.

Yes I know, I used to turn rotors, the question is why. Why on a high performance car that most of us drive and brake hard from time to time would you want to save a few bucks AND make your front rotors thinner????
Just a couple .002 won't heart. Brake Tech. at one time too. Most high performance cars start with thin rotors anyway. More braking power and they cool faster. Good rotors are not cheap. BMW & MBZ normally get pad slapped once then there rotors are below min. Even if they appear to be straight, more then often are not true. Worn rotors require pad break in to be much lengthier. Also the safety factor comes into play. Just my $00.02 worth. Did you already start saving for that new Z yet CPT?
I'm saving for something, just don't know what yet? I want a track only car maybe a FFR spec cobra or ragged out 97 C5, and if I get that then I'll get a nice C5 vert for my cruise mobil.
Yep, your right Slong im in with this car for sometime. I cant see buying the new models right now since i dont like the looks, they will have to grow on me a few years. But hopefully the Z06 will end its run with the 2004 model
that would be sweet for me and YOU :D
