Sources for LS6 crate motor?

Hi guys, first time in Z06 so I apologize if this topic has been covered.

How would you go about obtaining an LS6? Would you order it from a dealer or are there other sources? One of the guys at work is building a kit car and he was thinking about using an LS6.

GM Direct will probably be pretty pricey. If he doesnt need brand spankin new, have him check out the local wrecker yards. If he lucks out, he can locate a low mileage engine from a wrecked vette.

Tell him to contact Fred Beans family of dealerships. He is always offering speicals on the ls6 crate motors.

Thank you.. we are offering the LS6 crate engine, without fuel rails, intake etc.. for 5299 shipped I believe. Give us a call if you're interested.
