Hey,
I am doing this install either Friday or Saturday.
Did you have any problems, tools or parts needed etc... that were not addressed in these instructions? How did you splice the on/off wire into the purple #39 wire. Did you use a quick clip or did you solder(sp?) it? Any tips would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Just installed mine on Sunday, took about 3 hours from start to cleaned up and cruising. No problems, I followed the instructions from the various threads on this site. The only scary part for me was splitting the casing on that #39 purple wire to make the splice for the switch hot wire.
Man, they are great looking and bright. In fact I have been cruising with just the PIAA's at night. Makes the front end look mean with the glowing front nostrils.

Re: PIAA light install (blackz28turbo)
I used the same directions along w/ rbartics. Mine was under an hour. I used the quick splice. I asked my father in law about that (he's an electrician) & he said it would be fine. My problem was making the brackets. What a bitch! I also had trouble getting the c clips. The brackets you used weren't available yet. Now that I have HID's, all mine do is light up the street signs from like 1/4 mi away
Received my PIAA 1100X fogs, New C5 Brackets, and Extreem White Plus Headlamps today. Plan on installing them Saturday.
This has been my most wanted mod since I first saw them.
Thanks Tuan.

Well, I couldn't wait.
Installed the headlights last night at 11:00pm. Took about 35mins.
Installed the Fogs this morning. Took about 3.5 hours. I was really slow and deliberate so as to not screw up anything.
I think I will have to adjust them some tomorrow since some of the light at the bottom is not coming through thte ducts. Taking those corner pannels off is the hardest part. Thanks again Tuan.
I think PIAA's are a must mod for all Z's. I bought my brackets from a fellow forum member. He did a great job in making them. Question to PIAA owners: How low do you have the beams pointed. Approximately, how many feet in front of the car does the majority of the light reflect.. Thanks.
