As most of you who have a VaraRam know, the instructions that come with the unit are pretty much useless, especially for the mechanically challenged like myself. I seem to recall that a while back, someone posted a link to a set of superior VaraRam installation instructions, but now I cannot find that post/thread. Does this sound familiar to anyone? If so, any help you can provide me will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Question Re VaraRam Install (mikeo)
The instructions that come with the VaraRam do not mention the two white plastic stud-clips that hold the shroud to the AC Condensor. I popped the clips off the condensor, removed the metal rings holding them to the shroud, and then twisted the clips back onto the condensor.
This picture shows one of the clips, with the metal ring removed: Click image for a larger view
I did a second VR install on another car and it only took me about 2 hrs the second time.
Thanks for the additional info. Just one more question. When you installed the scoops to the bumper, what do you mean that you "shimmed them" to fit the car? Thanks again.

Re: Question Re VaraRam Install (mikeo)
The old version of the VR came with washers that were used to shim the unit to the proper angle. The new version of the VR comes with rubber bumper washers so you do not have to worry about this anymore. It should line up perfectly with the stock plastic studs in the radiator x-over.
When you reinstall the x-over make sure the lip on the shroud locks under the tab on the x-over. Stick a flashlight under the front of the x-over to see how it fits before you pull it apart. You can use a long screwdriver to push the shroud lip under the x-over tab when you reassemble. Do not lose the little rubber bumper on the x-over that protects the metal AC high pressure line.

When reinstalling the shroud, I fought with the clips for almost 20 minutes. Finally gave up and zip-tied the shroud to the condensor. Been working just fine.
Mike, the clips that you flip upside down when you fit the intakes over the grill inlets is shiny galvanized. They can be seen through the inlets just past the screens if you are standing in front of the Vette. Wish I had painted the clips black, because they are quite noticeable. Also the rubber spacer’s sugg. Fits better without them in place. Just a little cosmetic solution.
Me too. Hate it when that happens. Trying to find a skinny nozzle or something of that sort to put on the end of a paint can so I can reach inside and hit those mothers black.
