Default Track and Extra Oil.

I have my first track event this Sunday. The video recommends adding and extra quart of oil. This may be a silly question, but what do I do after the event? drain off the extra oil or leave it. The car won't see another track for at least four weeks. Thanks,

I had the same question. The answer is you leave it in there-there's no easy way to drain it and you can't suck it out. I did that with mine, no ill effects as there is enough room in the sump.

I left mine in too. It seemed to use some at the track anyway, so it wasn't that overfull at the end of the day.

Have fun at the track!

I run a lot of track events and always add that extra quart. You will also want to check it every two sessions and add more as necessary. It will burn some oil through out the track day.

No need to worry about the oil level when you leave the track. It won't harm anything and it will burn off gradually.

My personal policy involves an oil and filter change between every track event. If you get the oil changed after the track event then you will end up with the correct level again.

Enjoy your weekend! http://www.opentracking.com
