I am new and it started with cosmetics for me. Mats, seat covers, partitian, chrome, shorty ect...
Took me about a month before I wanted more and I imagine it will get worse when I find a closed course. Anyone ever get to VIR? I heard it is nice and technical... oops sorry.
Considering the kind of driving I do, (no road courses around here and I don't drag), the performance is, to say the least, awesome. So I am quite happy, for now, to leave well enough alone. I've had mine since last June and certainly not jaded yet. I concentrated my mods almost exclusively on appearance upgrades - interior and exterior. Other than maybe intake (Vararam) and exhaust (SLP Loudmouths), warranty issues will probably keep me from much more "deep" performance mods.
Enjoy your new CE Z06 ! A sweet ride for sure...
Keep :seeya
I have had my Z for almost 1 year. I swore I would not change anything, and to be honest, it's the first car I have owned that doesn't have an obvious weak spot. I got my B&B Bullet system today, and the Vararam is en-route. :D I am getting the black Motorsport wheels as soon as I have the spare money. I have the BPP shifter and partition. Oh well, you only live once!
Oh, and that's a top looking ride 1hotZ06!
It's very hard not to do anything. The only things I've done to my Z16 is a shorty and a K&N filter that was givin to me. I did see a highly modded Z16 at a Corvette car show in Houston. He had just about everything customized under the hood.
Funny thing happened when I talked to him. I told him I also had a Z16 parked near by. He had a very puzzled look in his eyes. He turned to me and said you mean a Z06. I said no a Z16. Thats when blew me off. Oh well. I waited a long 8 months after placing my order. Previous to that 8 months I spent countless of hours on the web researching the Z16. I thought it would be known to all CE owners that the '04 CE was sometimes refered to as the Z16 after it's RPO code.
