Testarossa dinner
Had fun yesterday with my buddy who owns a 86 Testarossa. Beat him on 0 to 60 and 1/4 mile. He was pissed. He was trash talking the Z. Now he wants to trade for a 360 or a Lambo. Man Z06 is a great car.

You are talking about beating 18 year old car and technology (TestaRossa). That particular car is not fast compared to newer Ferraris--although it is great car!

It's not going to hang with a Z06, but the Testarossa is still a beautiful and rapid beast! Very quick in spite of weighing 3660 lbs.

:thumbs: Tell him to get a Modena so you can smoke that too! They have 400 ponies 280 ft/lbs of torque and weight over 3500 lbs. You'll kick his butt =) Supposedly they run high 12's and mid 12's with a great driver.

Not surprised. A Testarossa is a low to mid 5 second 0-60 car, that runs in the high 13's, low 14's. Like someone already mentioned, for its time in the 1980's it was a very fast car. A ZR-1 could definitely beat a Testarossa (now that's a fair comparison as they're of the same vintage).
But the Testarossa is a great looking car, better looking than the Vette IMO. Most Ferraris are great looking. Except for that new 612 - that thing is kindda ugly, IMO. And at $250k, it's :U
The 360 Modena is a driver's race against a Z06. They are VERY close in acceleration. On a high speed road coarse, a Modena would have a tougher time against a Z06, as the Z06's better braking distances, lighter weight, and greater torque gives it a clear advantage.
The 360 Challenge Stradale can definitely beat a Z06 thanks to its higher power and lower weight, so look out for those. Until the C6 Z06 comes out, then it will get spanked :D :chevy
