Received and installed an Eckler's trunk/cabin partition late last week and I'm happy to report that, in my opinion, it is an excellent product. Excellent fit, easy to install, good looks and substantial sound attenuation. That's cosmetic mode #2 (#1 was Imola wheels/Pilot Sports).
I'm looking for comment/opinion on possible cosmetic mod #3. The brake dust issue is something I'd like to resolve. I've thought about going to a standard (non-ZO6) OEM brake pad off of the '04's which are supposed to be chamferred for squeal elimination and of reduced dusting material of construction. An alternative might be wheel plates such as these:
Anybody had any experience with 'wheel plates'? I'm not sure that I would want to block the view through the spokes of the caliper/rotor but I sure would like to have less dust to deal with.
Checked your profile image of the black '02 Z06 and you have a nice looking ride. I like your choice of wheels. Are the ceramic pads to which you refer installed on this car and do you know either the GM part numbers or application for the ceramics? Do I just do a search for GM ceramic pads for Z06's?

Thanks. Your wheels look great as well. I do have the pads on the car now. There is a slight decrease in stopping ability, but the tradeoff for almost no brake dust is well worth it.
Well, that's a great reply. I would expect some compromise in the Z06's braking capabilities but for street use I'm confident that it would still be plenty capable. I'll check into these at my local dealer.
I'm thinking about a Eklers partition also. I was wondering, which side does the logo show on? Can you turn the partition around so you can decide which side you want the logo on?

The Logo points to the inside of the car. Turning the partition around isn't an option as the backside isn't finished - the foam is exposed (at least on the one I purchased for $99). They may have another one that is finished on both sides.
Yes, I had thought about the airflow issue too and I do have a concern with that.
re: Partition
The logo is indeed on the inside as I installed it but I don't see why it couldn't be reversed. The back side in unfinished, dark grey foam rather than black carpet but it is just the trunk. The logo looks nice on the cabin side and I think the price is right.
Well, I took your advice and ordered the ceramic pads from GM Parts Direct. My local Chevy dealer couldn't/wouldn't do much for me on pricing so I'll try internet sourcing in this case. Thanks for your help.
