First time at the track
Went to the track for the first time ever yesterday. Lots of beautiful Corvettes at the Corvette Challenge at Raceway Park (Englishtown, NJ). I just did 5 passes as time trials as I'm a novice at this.
My best time without the bottle was only 12.96 at 108 on street tires.
Mods: TPIS Headers, Random Tech Cats and X-pipe, Ported Throttle Body , Ram-Air System, and 3.42 gears. (And note my car has 88k miles on it)
I really hoped I would do better than that. I do not have a stall converter so I'm sure that would have bumped it up a notch.
I just finished the install of a 150 Wet Shot. With the bottle on it was much more fun, but I had trouble hooking up. Best ET with the bottle was 12.005 at over 119. Man I loved that ride. But I was spinning quite a bit off the line (street tires again).
So with slicks and a torque converted, and a little more practice (and maybe a cam and headers!) and a dyno tune, I'd hope to see some better numbers. But all-in-all, it was a blast.
