[Z06] Question for front bushing cutters?
great, looks great and I'm having a blast driving it every day. I used longer
rear bolts, so I still have the rear bushings. The only thing that bothers me is
that now I've been hearing that coil-overs should be used in front and rear to
lower the car. Is this true? Is it okay to use coil-overs only in the front since
I've already got the rear at the proper height? Also, if I do use front
coil-overs, how do the missing front bushings factor in? Thanks.

You can cut the front bushings 2/3rds and not have any real problems. If the ride is to rough you can swap Bilsteins shock. They have a shorter shock body & will not bottom out. You only need to go with coilover if you want to "Slam it" or want alot of adjustability on the "Track".
Coilovers replace the front springs, so the bushings do not affect it.

Thanks for clarifying the coil-over issue for me. My car is already exactly
like I want it: The front bushings have been completely cut, and the rear has
longer bolts (WCC lowering bolts); the rear bushings were not cut. However,
will the removal of the front bushings cause unusual wear on my car? I
thought their only purpose was to filter "road noise". My car rides great
now; I just want to know what the long term effect's going to be now that the
front bushings are gone. Thanks.

replaceable: You either had to cut the front bushings or use coil-overs. I
opted to cut, but the potential long term adverse effects of doing so have
always been in the back of my mind. The car rides and looks great, and there
are no squeaks or rattles. I just have always wondered about the metal to
metal rubbing (torsion bar on A-arm). I will look into your solution. Thanks
again.
