Well, not necessarily beaten. These guys are extremely good at talking you into bying the wrong car (=a car that they get more profit from than the one you researched and price matched).

In retrospect, it seems like the salesmen at Hendrick have some kind of competition who sells the most number of cars. This clearly takes priority to their caring about what the customer needs...

I went to Henrick in Cary, NC pick up a TR Z06 and somehow came back with a TR Coupe after spending more than 6 hours in the store believeing all sorts of lies about that the price of a used Z06 and a used Coupe is the same. They told me that the Z06 body side molding can't be removed (the Coupe did not have them). The Coupe was fresh of the truck with 2 miles, which is probably why they managed to talk me into it whereas the Z06 had 18 miles and a damaged rim. The next day I realized my mistake and had to pay $5000 to upgrade to the Z06. Hendrick of course ended up with a correctly broken in Coupe with 480 miles on it...

So, I paid $51,000 for my Z06 in March 2004 instead of the $46,000 that Hendrick originally price matched with Maxie Price :mad

Of course I could not give them good scores at the GM survey, with the result that the salesman calls me and is furious because "I lied to them"

I'm never setting my foot in Henrick Chevrolet again. Maxie Price, here I come!

Yep, that's exactly how knowlegeable they are about their cars. Unfortunately I had to learn it the hard way

What are you talking about???? An LS1 Z06??? The LS1 designation is the 350 HP engine for the regular coupe and convertable. A Z06 is powered by an LS6 405 HP engine.

And that price is kind of high for a 2004 Z06. I bought mine at the end of March for $41616, and with only 5 miles on it.

If you are dealing with Hendrick, you are spending more than you have to for a NEW 2004 Z06.

Obviously $10,000 too much...

Jim, I was being facetious. I know what an LS1/LS6 is. It just amazes me what a bunch of ignorant fools the stealers are. Hendrick in particular.
