You probably are breaking the tires loose and invoking traction control (TC).
To test if this is the cause of your symptom,
(1) Press and hold for five seconds the button aft of the shifter. You should see the words "COMPETITIVE DRIVING" appear in the Driver information center" above the steering column. Now TC is turned off, but Active handling is still operative. Hit the reset button once, to clear that message.
(2) Now go out and do some acceleration runs.
Your tires should spin on strong shifts to 2d and 3d WITHOUT invoking TC.
thanks ranger, i did not know about holding the button but i did turn it off by just pressing it....its at a gm dealer were a relative is checking for me,he had the tech 2 hooked up but not showing cause..He is thinking the traction control is messing up,bad wire or brain..he will be doing this tommorow, i was hoping someone may have had this happening to them and know the fix. I noticed rpms very when this happens, 4000 and up though. one second your being thrown against the seat , next at dash board..like its cutting fuel and applying brakes... thanks again
just noticed each rear wheel is different..one is wider and shines more than the other..could this be causing problem ????? traction or torque management..?????
You haven't said what the Chevy dealer has learned from inspecting your car.

The front tires and wheels should match exactly side-to-side. Ditto the rears side-to-side.
If on the rear you have a front wheel and tire on one side and a rear wheel and tire on the other side, you are going to have issues, without a doubt.
But that is something the Chevy dealer should have caught.
cousin is stumped, before i found the wheel deal, he put new throttle module today..no help..that was only code he found. This is so pi$$ing me off.hoping the wheel is problem, bet they are not cheep to buy one....
Ranger, both backs are wider than fronts but backs are not same looking. Do u know where size is located on wheels? maybe its just a after market replacement. god i hope if i buy a wheel that fixes it..thanks for your help.
My current Z06 is an 02 and it has the stock wheels. I can describe the markings on the wheels, if that is helpful.
But you have an 01. And those are different in appearance but the same size.
The rears are 10.5 inches wide and 18 inches in diameter.
The fronts are 9.5 inches wide and 17 inches in diameter.
I'd suggest you measure them. You can do that without removing them.
If they are that size, e.g., both wheels on the same axle are the same and the tires are the same, the you'll have to look elsewhere for the root cause of your TC issue.
If the wheels on the same axle are the same size, it shouldn't matter that they are from a different manufacturer, e.g., one wheel is an 01 OEM and the other is an 02 OEM.
Suggest you check the tires too. Are they the same size on each axle?
If all these things check out, then you will have exhausted the easy things to check. That means you'll need to find a certified Corvette tech to do rigorous diagnostics.
Finally, reading between the lines, it seems you are out of warranty. Correct?
Who did you buy the car from and when? You may have recourse with the seller.
Might also benefit from having another Z06 owner take a drive in your car with you, particularly one with a lot of seat time.
