Motor replacement?
Hello, i found out my motor on my 01 was replaced under warranty on 8-22-02. Would they of put same horsepower motor back in or would it of been the 02 or 03 in with 405 horse instead.thanks...

Chevy's practice is to replace an 01 motor with an 01 motor. Lot of 01 guys faced with the replacement scenario lobbied for the 405 hp 02 motor. I never read a thread where that effort was successful.
So, almost certainly the new motor is still an 01 with 385 hp.
