I just bought ceramic break pads for my new Z because the break dust is awful now. Do the ceramic pads have any performance enhancement, or are they worse than the stock pads?
Some claim they don't have the braking power of the OEM pads. I have them and after three weeks almost ZERO brake dust. So far I have not noticed and loss of braking power. If I need to stop I keep applying pressure on the pedal until the ABS comes on. Seems if they can light up the ABS they are providing all the stopping power the brakes and tires can generate.
I will say this; they feel more linear than the OEM pads. The OEM pads seem to provide more initial BITE than the ceramics. But I prefer the linearity of the ceramics.
I hear they should out last the OEM pads considerably.

I also charnged my truck over and like the stopping ability more than the tock pad there as well.
As for the rotor, I would not think they should not be any different. They may wear less, but as stated you just apply enough pressure to stop, friction is friction.
I went with poly matrix pads..same reason, to eliminate dust. I have not noticed any difference. May be a factor on the track but that isn't an issue for me.
