People are complaining about the scrolling and it is mainly due to the oversized pictures that forum member post in threads or use in their sig.
Instead of putting all the blame on the new format and software blame the members with the oversize pictures.

Can't we be responsible forum members and resize the pictures to a reasonable size before we use them. By resizing the pictures it will cut down on the scrolling and improve the preformance of the loading of the threads.

just my .02

Troy Thanks for starting this forum and keeping it free

Here is a link to a shareware version of ACDSee that I use to resize picture

I agree BIG TIME!!!!
I'm sitting here just shaking my head at the griping about scrolling with the new format. Some of the ones griping are the very ones causing the problems with their rediculously HUGE SIG PICS.

Everyone should take a moment and check their sigs and resize them appropriately so the rest of us don't have to scroll back and forth a gazallion times to read the thread.

This new format is crazy. Troy needs to fix archived posts pic sizes as it is very hard to do a search.

Wonder what the guidelines should be...I made mine 430 pixels wide because that was the "limit" before resizing took over. Using the same basic size here now...

Hopefully others with the large sig pics could do the same.....

The ability to preview post before submitting is a nice feature.

In a different thread, Mean Green is quoted as saying:

If you have a sig pic larger than 450x300, watch out; a mod might update your sig to not have that pic. We need to police ourselves so that we don't place too large a burden on the moderators.

Have to check mine out. I assumed it met forum guidelines (did not require scrolling on the old format), but will make sure this evening.

...the program will evaluate the size of the sig to make certain that you are loading one within the software guidelines...

Hey MG, can we get a sticky post stating the guidelines for pics? Even if the software prohibits anything greater than 450x350 in the sig, that doesn't keep people from inserting pics bigger than that in their posts. If the guidelines were stated in a sticky I think you'd have more people following them.
